No comment on medium! Enter Twitter…

An absolute possible but far fetched idea

When I first found medium, I could not believe that so minimal blogging platform can exist. When I saw there was no usual comment box that no blog can be without(apparently),I was confused. Later I understood that I can use the note feature that is an innovative idea, but some problems exist.

When somebody writes a post that is not technical, you do not need to comment on a specific line unless you want to raise a point, such as on post about a recent protest, you can have a definite issue or a conclusive point, so you need to comment on the post as a whole, not on a specific line.

Medium profiles are synchronized with twitter, so I thought why not use a pretty custom tweet conversation box at the end to use tweets as comments on each post!

Revamped after IPO, Twitter has updated their conversation feature.A time line for conversation and more.

Watch this video for more.

My idea is to use a custom tweet box that will allow users to comment on the particular post.An unique hashtag will be generated for each post.

The hashtag structure is simple. Let’s say,a post has the following address: https://medium.com/what-i-learned-building/ed6d5298ae0e

The hashtag will be:#wilbed0e

How? The first four letters are simply short form for the collection. In case the collection name is smaller than three words, the exact first word followed by the first letter of the second word will be used. The numbers are the first two and last two numbers of the post number.

The designs are just concepts to clarify the idea.It can of course be improved or simply thrown away, but I hope they are not that bad:D

How will it look
